Christmas in the park is on again this year with the Millicent Combined Churches (MCC) hosting a fair and activities on Saturday, December 16.

Held in the Rotunda parklands, the fair opens at 11am with market stalls and family fun activities throughout the day.

For the second time the annual Millicent’s Got Talent contest will be taking place with community members encouraged to register on the day for their chance to shine.

In the afternoon musicians from Adelaide group Ngoma will be providing entertainment.

MCC president Shaun Mulick said

“Ngoma, means rhythm and dance in Swahili and they have a number of displaced refugees from all walks of life.

“There are a lot of African cultures and influences, they are underpinning the whole performance.”

The popular nativity play will take place from 3pm and the carols, which replaces the former Carols in the Shearing Shed, will follow.

At 5pm the evening will wind down but not before an expected visit from Santa Claus.
