Students escape school bus fire

It was eventful morning for students as they made their way to school on Friday, November 24, as their bus was engulfed in flames causing around $120,000 in damages.

Emergency services were called to Senior at 8.15am with responses from the Country Fire Service (CFS) and South Australia Police.

Passengers were safely removed from the bus before CFS arrived at the scene and fully extinguished the fire.

Though the bus was destroyed, CFS volunteers prevented the further spread of the fire.

The cause of the fire has not been identified, but SAPOL has confirmed it was not suspicious.
