Home prices in the South East are up 71.3 per cent since March 2020 according to the latest PropTrack Market Insight.

This is a 3.8 per cent average quarterly growth and 12.6 per cent annual growth.

Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic the region is the only one in regional South Australia to place in the top 10 regions for post-pandemic growth nationally, with a $494,000 median home value.

Regional South Australia has emerged as the second strongest market in the country since the pandemic onset, following a 66.2 per cent surge in home prices.

Regional areas across the country have seen pandemic-induced preference shifts, with regional home prices growing faster than their capital city counterparts since the pandemic in every state except Western Australia and Northern Territory.

Prices are also up in the city, with Adelaide home prices up 64.0 per cent since March 2020.
