MOUNT Gambier/Berrin residents came from far and wide last week to celebrate Reconciliation Week.
This year’s theme was Now More than Ever with a range of events happening across the Blue Lake City.
The Sir Robert Helpmann Theatre hosted a private screening of the collaborative Acknowlegement of Country video between Burrandies Aboriginal Corporation and Country Arts SA before the evening session of Nunga Screen.
Playgroups also hosted special sessions while Pangula Mannamurna Aboriginal Health Organisation worked alongside the Limestone Coast Local Health Network to host a community lunch.
The University of South Australia also hosted a Reconciliation Week lunch on the Friday with storytelling by Boandik Elder Aunty Michelle Jaquelin- Furr and further presentations by First Nations Elder Uncle Ken Jones.
