2023 is the seventh year local businesses have joined forces to host the Christmas Lights Spectacular in Millicent.
Residents, who are lighting or decorating their homes for Christmas, are encouraged to nominate for the competition by Friday, December 1 to be included on the list of houses to visit.
Initiated in 2017 by South East Property Sales and Management, business owner Fiona Telfer said the evening remains popular.
“The general public and families just love to drive around at night to look at the decorated houses,” she said.
“Home owners are so engaged with it, some of them even get dressed up.”
As a further encouragement to nominate for the competition sponsorship has allowed for $2250 in prizes for the winning homes.
First prize is $1,000, second prize $500, third prize $250 with $500 for the Community Choice Award voted by the general public.
